Saaf Skincare Ultimate Moisture Face Serum review

Saaf Skincare Ultimate Moisture Face Serum – I love a facial oil and I've been using more and more this year. This 30ml facial oil serum has a recommended six month use by date once opened and comes in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser. As you can see, the box is a bit bashed from where I pulled off the price label.

My face is dry, always has been, and needs hydrating throughout the year. I can use this in summer in the evenings instead of a night moisturiser or use it underneath face creams in cool weather to add extra hydration instead of relying on thicker creams. I've enjoyed using this oil and I've already repurchased. Saaf is a UK based company.

Ultimate Moisture Face Serum is extremely nourishing and healing and helps boost normal to dry or mature skin.

This ultra-rich serum is extremely nourishing and healing. It’s light and satisfying to use, leaving skin feeling fresh and velvety smooth. The unique blend combines ultra-effective natural ingredients to promote skin regeneration and help boost levels of collagen and elastin, making the skin appear smoother and firmer, while balancing impurities and soothing any irritations. Used frequently, Ultimate Moisture Face Serum will help restore skin suppleness and even out skin tone.

Ideal for:

  • Use day or night as a skin rejuvenation treatment
  • Dry skin
  • Prematurely ageing, mature or sagging skin
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Rosacea (redness or uneven skin tone) and hyper pigmentation

Neals Yard Remedies Rehydrating Rose Daily Moisturiser review

Neals Yard Remedies Rehydrating Rose Daily Moisturiser – this 50ml plastic tube was a magazine freebie I picked up just to get the NYR product. I'm getting towards the end of this so I've cut the tube open to scrape out the last blobs.

I always like to see a bottle cut in two so you can scrape out every last bit. It’s always a good indication that you’ve enjoyed using a product. Or that you’re tight fisted. I once read a blog where there was a photo of that month’s empties and every single bottle had been cut open, it was very impressive.

"Softens and replenishes NORMAL and DEHYDRATED skin.
Hydrating 'Hundred petalled' rose extract and damask rose oil soften, smooth and help restore skin's natural radiance in a light, easily absorbed, antioxidant-rich lotion.
Proven in clinical trials to moisture for up to 12 hours."
I like the texture and efficacy of this product, but I don't really care for the scent. I'm not a sweet roses kind of guy. This 50ml tube has a screw cap and the product is squeezed out. I like the touch of embossing an expiration date on the top of the tube.
Here are the ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Glycine soja (Soya) oil*, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil*, Calendula officinalis (Marigold) flower extract*, Cetyl alcohol, Borago officinalis (Borage) seed oil*, Cetearyl glucoside, Rosa centifolia (Rose) flower extract, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe vera) leaf juice powder*, Rosa damascena (Rose) flower oil*, Citrus limonum (Lemon) peel oil expressed*, Cananga odorata (Ylang ylang) flower oil*, Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium) flower oil*, Tocopherol, Sodium hyaluronate, Cetearyl olivate, Sorbitan olivate, Alcohol denat., Glycerin, Levulinic acid, Potassium sorbate, Xanthan gum, Benzyl alcohol, Benzyl benzoate, Benzyl salicylate, Citral, Citronellol, Eugenol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Isoeugenol, Limonene, Linalool.

Full of Glee Naked Bodycare Star Flower body butter review

Naked Bodycare Star Flower body butter – this 300ml body butter is usually £3.99 but I found this in one of those bargain beauty shops for just £1 so, yes, I went ahead and bought three! It's not my favourite scent (I prefer the Coco de Mer), but this body butter is satisfyingly thick and just what my dry husk of a body needs in winter.

Here are the ingredients:

Aqua, Glycerin, Butyrospermum parkii, Cocos nucifera oil, Glyceryl stearate, Cetearyl alcohol, Cera alba, Caprylic/capric triglceride, Cetearyl glucoside, Dicaprylyl ether, Tocopheryl acetate, Borago officinalis seed oil, Parfum, Lavandula hybrida oil, Pogostemon cablin oil, Citrus limonum oil, Citrus aurantium dulcis oil, Rosmarinus officinalis oil, Pelargonium graveolens oil, Cananga odorata oil, Sodium stearoyl glutamate, Sodium polyacrylate, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Linalool, Geraniol, Limonene, Citronellol, Eugenol, Benzyl alcohol, Benzyl benzoate, Citral, Isoeugenol.

Soft Touch Naked Starflower body wash review

I've been using the Vegetarian and vegan friendly Soft Touch Naked Bodycare Starflower body wash for several years, along with the other fragrances from Naked Bodycare. I get these from Boots whenever they go on offer and use up my Advantage points. These are probably the best value sulphate free body wash available here in the UK.

The 250ml plastic bottle retails for around £3.99 and has a lid which is seperated in two so you press down one side and the other side pops up to release the gel. The scent is very aromatic and herbal with a definite note of patchouli. I prefer the Orange Blossom or Coco de Mer scents, but the Starflower is good for the cooler months. I'm currently going through the body butter as well.

"Starflower is full of Gamma Linolenic Acid (an essential fatty acid) known to improve the skin's protective barrier and help prevent signs of ageing. This is also why Starflower extract, known as Borage oil, has long been used as a nutritional supplement to help counter "irritability" and general "women's problems"!"

Well, I can't vouch for that, though my colleagues at work might have a thing to say about that.

Here are the ingredients:

Aqua, Sodium cocoamphoacetate, Cocamidopropyl betaine, Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, Lauryl glucoside, Glycerin, Coco glucoside, Glyceryl oleate, Capryl/capryl glucoside, Borago officinalis (starflower) seed oil, Lavandula hybrida grosso (lavandin) herb oil, Pelargonium graveolens (geranium) leaf oil, Cananga odorata (ylang ylang) flower oil, Pogostemon cablin (patchouli) leaf oil, Linalool, Citronellol, Geraniol, Citric acid.
